Reviews
Oppo has established a reputation for its camera excellence within its
Reno smartphone series, and this year, the company has unveiled the latest Reno
10 lineup for 2023 in the Indian market. The device will be accessible in two
attractive colour choices: Ice Blue and Silvery Grey. It offers two RAM and
storage options—8GB RAM with 128GB storage, and another variant with 8GB RAM
and 256GB storage. The Oppo Reno 10 5G boasts elegant chrome side rails that
seamlessly merge with the back panel and the gracefully curved-edge display.
Positioned on the right side are the volume buttons followed by the power key.
Meanwhile, the bottom hosts the USB Type-C charging port, microphone, speaker
grille, and SIM slot. At the smartphone's top, users will discover the IR
blaster and an additional microphone for noise reduction.
The back of the Oppo Reno 10 5G is adorned with a sophisticated matte
finish that reveals a captivating interplay of colours when viewed from
different angles. The camera module slightly protrudes, which might result in a
minor wobble when placed on a flat surface. The smartphone showcases a
versatile triple-camera configuration on the rear, comprising a 64-megapixel
primary camera, a 32-megapixel telephoto camera equipped with the Sony IMX709
sensor, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The camera interface retains the
familiar Oppo aesthetic, ensuring users' familiarity with the experience.
The Oppo Reno 10 5G features a generously sized 6.7-inch curved-edge
AMOLED display, offering a 120Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness rating
of 950 nits. Interactions with the display are delightfully smooth, making
content consumption, such as video watching, a pleasurable endeavour. This
display also incorporates an in-display fingerprint sensor for enhanced
security.
Impressively, the Oppo Reno 10 5G houses a substantial 5,000mAh battery,
a remarkable feat given the device's sleek profile. Additionally, it boasts
support for 67W SuperVOOC fast charging. The phone erives its power from a
MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC and operates on Oppo's ColorOS 13.1, a customized
Android 13-based operating system.
With its premium aesthetics and essential features including a capacious
battery with fast charging and an excellent display, the Oppo Reno 10 5G holds
great promise. However, its reception in the market will ultimately hinge on
its pricing strategy and how it resonates with potential buyers.
